Ingredients

– 1 lb lean ground beef
– 1 onion, diced
– 1 green bell pepper, diced
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 cup sloppy joe sauce
– 1 loaf French or Italian garlic bread
– 2 cups shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
– 2 tbsp butter (for garlic bread)
– Optional: parsley for garnish


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Brown ground beef in a skillet; add onion, bell pepper, and garlic until softened.
3. Stir in sloppy joe sauce and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
4. Prepare garlic bread by spreading butter and garlic on a loaf. Lightly toast in the oven.
5. Spoon sloppy joe mixture over the garlic bread and top with cheese.
6. Bake for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
