Description
Sweet and savory bite-sized appetizers made with Little Smokies wrapped in bacon and coated in caramelized brown sugar, perfect for parties and gatherings.
Ingredients
– 1 package Little Smokies (14 oz)
– 12 slices of bacon (cut into thirds)
– 1 cup light or dark brown sugar
– Optional: cayenne, maple syrup, or garlic powder
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Cut bacon slices into thirds.
3. Wrap each Little Smokie with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick if needed.
4. Arrange on the baking sheet and sprinkle evenly with brown sugar.
5. Bake for 15–20 minutes, turning halfway through, until bacon is crispy and sugar is caramelized.
6. Cool slightly and serve with dipping sauces.
Notes
– Use regular bacon for best results; thick-cut may not crisp properly.
– For a spicy kick, mix cayenne pepper with the brown sugar.
– Make ahead by assembling Smokies a day in advance and baking fresh before serving.
