Description

A rich and flavorful steak dish featuring a creamy bourbon garlic sauce. Perfect for a gourmet dinner, this recipe combines the robust taste of seared steak with a luxurious sauce that brings together the warmth of bourbon and the sharpness of garlic.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye steaks (or preferred cut)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Optional: 1 cup mushrooms, sliced; 1 tbsp Dijon mustard; 2 tbsp crushed peppercorns

Instructions

  1. Season the Steak: Season both sides of the steaks with salt and pepper. Allow them to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  2. Cook the Steak: Sear the steaks in a hot pan with butter for 3-4 minutes per side, depending on desired doneness. Set aside to rest.
  3. Make the Sauce: In the same pan, sauté minced garlic in butter. Deglaze with bourbon, then add heavy cream. Simmer until thickened, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. Serve: Slice the steak and drizzle with the bourbon garlic cream sauce. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

  • For a lighter sauce, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
  • To add a spicy kick, incorporate crushed peppercorns.
  • For an earthy twist, add sautéed mushrooms to the sauce.
