Description

Golden, flaky baked ham and cheese pinwheels are a simple yet delicious snack or appetizer. Perfect for parties, lunchboxes, or any time you need a quick savory treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 68 slices of ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Cheddar, Gruyere, or Swiss)
  • 2 tbsp mustard (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fresh or dried herbs (parsley, thyme, or chives)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Spread mustard evenly, leaving a 1-inch border.
  4. Layer ham slices and sprinkle with cheese and herbs.
  5. Roll the pastry tightly into a log, chill for 10 minutes.
  6. Slice into 1/4-inch rounds and place on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden and puffed. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, use roasted vegetables instead of ham.
  • Unbaked pinwheels can be frozen and baked directly from frozen.
